Heba or Tian? Tian - Because I already have a Heba. And most of the cast seem to have gone Heba. But also he fits nicely into these bits of the Tian blurb:
"more emotional and driven by their passion and feelings rather than concrete goals or ambition." He's not necessarily a "they enjoy contemplation and self-exploration" type, but as a future Jedi Master he needs to learn to be. Tian, might actually help him foster his connection with the Force.
Acquired Ability: Magic
Personality Traits:
Positive
- Curious - Absolutely one of those kids who asks "Why?" about everything. Wants to know how everything works. Probably prone to taking things apart just to see how they work and then... not always be able to put them together again. Would have been an absolute menace in school. Wants to know how, why, and all that. He's the sort to be insatiable about the things that he's interested in.
- Determined - Does not easily let go of things that he wants to do. See, the constant badgering to leave his small farm life and go else-where. Or his persistence in trying to persuade Han to help him.
- Kind - Might not exactly give you the shirt off of his back, but he'd come pretty close. Luke's overall pretty generous and prone to helping people. Especially if it's against injustice.
Negative
- Impatient.- He'll learn how to be patient one day. But that day is far in his future and so doesn't apply here. He's quick to chafe under limitations or restrictions. Doesn't like b
- Reckless Very little concern for his own safety and well being. Very prone to throwing himself head first into danger to help someone else.
- Naïve - Seriously he's been a farm boy all his life. He's pretty unfamiliar with the greater world at large. He's quick to believe the best in people. And, since he's a terrible liar, prone to believing people when he really shouldn't.
Canon Abilities/Skills:
-Piloting
-Mechanics
-Basic lightsaber/melee combat
-Basic gun abilities
-Very rough, untrained Force connection/abilities
So not a lot tbh, he's still very raw and new to basically everything but piloting and mechanics.
Suitability: Just blew up a really big battle station, you've probably never heard of it, but he's kind of a big deal. /s
Aspiring member of the rebellion, who while is still rough and new has Great Potential.
Inventory: One Inherited Lightsaber, A set of clothes, A Very Handy Utility belt, possibly a blaster? And that's about it.
CHARACTER QUESTIONNAIRE
What are your character's feelings on freedom? How would they define freedom? How important is it to them? Would they fight for it, or have they fought for it in the past? If they have, how did they go about it?He's fought for freedom, but admittedly Luke actually kind of just gets swept up into the Rebellion. He hadn't set out to join them at first, but once he loses his family he sees no reason to not leave the life he's known behind to fight against the people who'd taken it from him..
I'm assuming it's from one of the comics or novels, but a young Luke would often go out of his way to fight back against Injustice. Stealing back water stolen from the moisture farmers and generally getting himself into all sorts of trouble simply to help people who are being oppressed. Fighting against people who would hurt others? It's just his nature.
At this point, there is nothing more important to him than fighting against tyranny.
Describe a formative moment in your character's life, something that changed them and defined who they are as a person.
Luke's been through a lot of formative moments in a very short period of time. Loosing his aunt and uncle, the only real family he's known leaves him untethered and almost adrift. If it hadn't been for the Droids and Obi-Wan, who knows what Luke would have done at this point. But seeing as he feels he now no longer has anything to loose, he throws himself into helping the rebellion and working with Obi-Wan.
Only to turn around and loose Obi-Wan very shortly thereafter. But at the same time I wouldn't say Luke is necessarily defined by loss in general, just that from the canon point I picked he goes through a lot of it in a very short amount of time. But it's safe to say that without these two events, things would have gone very differently in Luke's life.
Does your character have a favorite person? If so, how would they describe that person? What do they like about that person? What do they dislike? If they don't have a favorite person, what would they look for in a favorite person? What traits would draw them to another person? What traits could they tolerate that others might not be able to?
He doesn't know that she's his sister yet, but I think it's safe to say that despite not knowing Leia for very long, she's become a Very Important person to him. Not just because she's important to the Rebellion, but she offered a belief in him when even he might not have believed in himself. She's stubborn, fiercely independent, smart, and just all around someone that Luke admires. He actively likes how she's so head strong, a trait that Han had.. kind of complained about at the time.
What has your character's arc been like so far? How have they developed from their first appearance to their canon point?
It's the beginning of a Hero's Journey in the most classic of senses. He's gone from a farm boy to an apprentice to a decorated member of the Rebellion in a very short span of time. Luke's still got a Very Long way to go, but he's definitely matured a fair bit from the whiny farmboy who'd hated his life. He's... marginally less whiny now, though he'll probably still complain from time to time. But now he's much more likely to actively work to change what's bothering him instead of passively accepting things.
How would you like to continue your character's arc in the game? How would you like them to develop? What would you like to have them accomplish?
Luke has so much to learn! About being a proper member of a Rebellion. About the Force. About himself. And just in general there is a lot for him to learn. He's not the sage master, he's just... Luke, a farm boy turned rebel who's... probably a little cocky about all his success recently. Something that won't last long, because he's so green and fresh compared to almost everyone else in the game. He really doesn't know much of anything and will have to learn how to humble himself a bit. Plus Luke and Little Leia
